Abinaya Thenappan, MD is a Cataract and Refractive Surgery Fellow at the Cleveland Eye Clinic, training under the guidance of Dr. Wiley and Dr. Bafna. Dr. Thenappan earned her medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at the USC Roski Eye Institute and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in recognition of her academic and clinical excellence.
Throughout her training, Dr. Thenappan has been actively involved in cutting-edge research, with numerous publications and presentations at national conferences. As a surgeon, she is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal vision through the latest advancements in refractive surgery. She believes in providing personalized care, prioritizing safety and precision, and developing treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique vision goals, and lifestyle.
In her free time, she enjoys tennis, biking, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Simba.
